Understanding IVF, ICSI & IUI Support

What is assisted conception, and how can nutritional therapy support you?

IVF (in vitro fertilisation), ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) and IUI (intrauterine insemination) are forms of assisted conception offered by fertility clinics and NHS specialists. These are medical procedures overseen by your fertility consultant, who will coordinate your investigations, medications and clinical pathway — that medical care always comes first.

Many people going through assisted conception are keen to explore how their nutrition and everyday lifestyle habits might support their general wellbeing during the process. A personalised nutritional therapy plan — developed in close consideration of your fertility team’s guidance — may help you feel as well-nourished and supported as possible before, during and after each cycle.

Nutritional therapy is not a medical treatment, and we don’t claim to treat, cure or prevent infertility. What we offer is personalised nutrition and lifestyle support for your general wellbeing — using ordinary, accessible food and practical guidance.

After I had my son, my hormones changed a lot and my PCOS felt like it was getting worse. Once I started the programme I gradually began to feel more like myself again — with so much more energy. Emma was amazing.

Nutritional therapy is a complementary approach that supports general health and wellbeing. It does not replace individual medical assessment. Anyone currently taking prescribed medication should continue taking it as directed, and any changes should always be made through whoever prescribed it. Individual results vary and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Common questions

No — nutritional therapy isn’t a medical treatment or a cure, and we don’t claim to treat, cure or prevent infertility. What we can do is help you understand how your individual diet and lifestyle may be affecting how you feel, and build a personalised plan to support your general wellbeing.
Not at all. We work with people at all stages — whether you’re preparing for a first cycle, in between cycles, or looking for ongoing nutritional support. We always ask about your fertility clinic’s guidance so that any nutritional recommendations sit comfortably alongside your medical plan.
We work only within the boundaries set by your fertility consultant and never suggest anything that could interfere with prescribed medications or protocols. If there is any uncertainty, we’ll recommend you check with your clinic first — your medical care always takes priority.
Yes. We see clients in person near Harley Street and by video call, so people going through fertility journeys anywhere in the UK can access personalised nutritional therapy support.
